Photography & Photo Manipulation

One of my favorite projects to date. I paid my nephew handsomely in chocolate chips to help me create this work of art. Inspired by the album cover 'Out of Body' for the band Needtobreathe. We took photos of him draped over my arm so I could create a clear shot with my old Canon Rebel. I am not skilled like Jeremy Cowart (the photographer who captured the album cover's image) with a camera but I have Photoshop skills to recreate this inspirational idea! I am proud of how it turned out and couldn't have picked a better subject.

His shirt was originally white (not like the blue in the final image. I wanted to make the image as close as I could to the album cover however the white turned out *chef's kiss*. So I photoshopped it to make it look like a Renaissance painting. No AI was used in any part of this project. I love this photo I might just end up painting it in real life.

A sneak peek of the layers used in Photoshop. Jeremy Cowart is so skilled he captured the album cover in one image (using multiple exposures) I am however not that skilled and it's different working with a kiddo. If you want to see the image that directly inspired this project, CLICK HERE
